SCILL's CTE welding program curriculum follows SENSE, a national program taught in accordance with American Welding Society guidelines. Upon completion, students earn high school credits for graduation and can receive up to 15 hours of transferable credit from Ivy Tech Community College for the two-year program.
Additionally, participants will submit welding samples for American Welding Society (AWS) certification. The skills obtained will help springboard their career path. It will prepare them to enter the workforce or to seek advanced training opportunities to continue to perfect their technique and skills as trained welders.

Students will also be exposed to internship opportunities with local businesses, which will help to further solidify their career path and increase their experience for employment after graduation.
SCILL's CTE welding technology program instructors are AWS certified and bring a great deal of hands-on knowledge to the classroom and lab. They are highly trained in teaching and in their knowledge of welding and its various techniques.
SCILL's CTE welding technology program's tuition is paid by the student’s home school. Book rental and the cost of welding supplies and clothing needs are not covered and are a student's obligation.
